Overview

Paradigm C++ Professional uses the Paradigm Link tool to build relocatable load modules from the object files in your application. The output of Paradigm Link is then used by Paradigm LOCATE to produce absolute load modules suitable for debugging or burning EPROMs.

Paradigm LINK

Paradigm LINK is a high-speed linker that accepts object files (.OBJ) from the Paradigm C++ Professional compiler and assembler as well as library files (.LIB) maintained the Paradigm Librarian and outputs files ready for locating by Paradigm LOCATE.

Paradigm LINK Features

  • Full C++ support lets you choose to have mangled or normal names in the linker map file.
  • Default configuration file for commonly used linker options.
  • Response file support to help maintain large projects.

Like the other Paradigm C++ Professional components, Paradigm LINK is fully integrated in the Paradigm C++ Professional IDE and options can be set on project level or for the individual target nodes in a project. For instance, the default stack and heap sizes for a real mode application are assigned by the real mode Linker. These options can be changed by right clicking on the .AXE node and selecting Edit local options | Linker |16-bit Linker.
